1. INDEPENDENCE DAY FUNCTION 10 AUG 2024 (SAT) –
(a) Recently Wayanad a famous tourist spot of Kerala was devastated by landslides due to heavy rains. Hundreds of people have lost their lives and thousands homeless due this natural calamity. The grim roster of missing persons has touched approximately 250 persons, even as the search and rescue ops are in progress for the sixth day, by the joint teams of the Army, Navy, Airforce, NDRF and other agencies of the Kerala Govt.
(b) The HQ KKSA is spear heading the Search and Rescue Ops with all its resources under its Command. The Mgmt, Members and staff of RSAOI stand in Strength and Solidarity with the people of Wayanad in this moment of grief.
(c) Hence, the Independence Day celebrations scheduled for 10 Aug 24 has been postponed. Fresh dates will be intimated later.
