4. SONGS OF KABIR– A music concert called ‘Songs of Kabir’ by Ms Shabnam Virmani accompanied by Shreeparna Mitra will be held on 01 Dec 2024 at Cariappa Hall from 6.30 to 8.00 pm. This program is being sponsored by Capt (IN) Subbarao Prabhala (Retd), M/ship No S-230. A write-up on Ms Shabnam Virmani is given below :-
(a) “Educated in journalism in India and America, Shabnam Virmani is a Documentary Film-maker and artist-in-residence at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Yelahanka, Bangalore and has won many Awards in India and abroad for her documentaries.
(b) Shabnam organised the first Kabir Festival in Bangalore in 2009. Inspired by the spirit of Bhakti, Sufi and Baul oral traditions, the Kabir Project team has since been engaged for over two decades in bringing to the fore the power of this poetry through documentary films, urban festivals, rural yatras, CDs and DVDs and a web archive dedicated to mystic poetry called Ajab Shahar, and now a schools’ program called Shabad Shaala.”

5. NEW YEAR EVE FUNCTION (CURTAIN RAISER) :- The New year function is being planned for 31 Dec (Tue). Details of the conduct, ticket fees, dress code, timings, No of Guests authorised to be accompanied will be communicated shortly.
6. SOCIAL CALENDER DEC 2024 :-

(f) Christmas Brunch.
(g) New Year eve 31 Dec (Tue).

7. DIGITAL LIFE CERTIFICATE – K & K Sub Area organising a Digital Life Certificate Camp in association with Canara Bank. Details as fallows :-

(b) Time – 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
(c) Venue – RSAOI CSD Extn Counter.

9. TENNIS – Registration for Tennis Trg for children is open. Special Tennis tournament for children planned from 1st week of Dec 2024.
10. GYM – Mr George is the New Gym trainer.
11. INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS IN RSAOI :-
(a) Please refer to Para 70 to 80 of RSAOI Rules & Bye-laws 2021.
(b) It has been noted with concern that Guests who accompany Members are not being registered at the reception in accordance with Rule No 80 on the subject.
(c) Violations have been noticed more so through the rear entrance (Gate No 4).
(d) All Members of the Institute are reminded to first register their Guests before availing any services at RSAOI and avoid the embarrassment of being reminded by the staff.
12. THE NOOK – The Nook is under renovation and repairs wef 14 Oct (Mon) onwards. The restaurant is shifted for the present moment to 50 MG 1st Floor and Wings Roof Top.
13. WELLNESS STUDIO – RSAOI is pleased to inform that the Institute has opened a Wellness Studio. Details as follows: –
(a) Power Yoga – Monday @ 5 PM by Mr Sudhanshu.
(b) Ashtanga Yoga – Wednesday @ 5 PM by Miss. Sneha.
(c) Pilates – Thursday @ 5 PM by Mr Karthikeya.
(d) Hi-Lo – Friday @ 5PM by Mr Pradeep.
(e) Strength – Saturday @ 5PM by Mr Udith.
(f) Sunday & Tuesday – Holiday.
(g) Charges – Rs 3,000/- per month Non-refundable.
14. ODOMOS AND UMBRELLA:- Members are requested to carry their own Odomos and Umbrella while visiting RSAOI for functions and restaurants, because of Dengue / Malaria/Monsoon season.
15. CSD RSAOI (GPC EXTN COUNTER)– CSD will remain open on 15 Nov (Fri). No Holiday for Guru Nanak Jayanthi.
