CLOSED HOLIDAY – On 31st Oct 2024 (Thu) RSAOI incl all amenities will be closed on account of Diwali. No Veh will be parked inside RSAOI due to security reason.

2. DIWALI SANTHE – Diwali Santhe from 25 to 30 Oct 2024. Variety of stalls are opened for Members.
3. NORMAL TAMBOLA – Normal Tambola on 02 Nov (Sat) from 07:00 PM onwards at Cariappa Hall.
4. INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS IN RSAOI :-
(a) Please refer to Para 70 to 80 of RSAOI Rules & Bye-laws 2021.
(b) It has been noted with concern that Guests who accompany Members are not being registered at the reception in accordance with Rule No 80 on the subject.
(c) Violations have been noticed more so through the rear entrance (Gate No 4).
(d) All Members of the Institute are reminded to first register their Guests before availing any services at RSAOI and avoid the embarrassment of being reminded by the staff.
5. THE NOOK – The Nook is under renovation and repairs wef 14 Oct (Mon) onwards. The restaurant is shifted for the present moment to 50 MG 1st Floor and Wings Roof Top.
6. GOLDEN PALM CANTEEN RSAOI :-
(a) Holiday on 31 Oct (Thu) on account of Diwali Festival & reopens on 01 Nov 2024.
(b) Stock Taking on 29 Oct (Tue) and 30 Oct (wed). Liquor sale is on 29 Oct (Tue).
7. NEW YEAR EVE FUNCTION :- Sub Committee for Entertainment. Volunteer Members are requested to forward the names to plan the New Year Eve function 2024, since it is a Mega Event. Coord conf will be held Mid Nov, after receiving the quotations from event managing companies. The advertisement for the same is being published on 04 Nov 2024 in a National and local Newspaper. 7. ARMY INSTITUTE OF FASHION AND DESIGN (AIFD) ORGANISING THE WORKSHOP, DETAILS AS FOLLOWS:-
(a) Workshop 1 –
(i) Practical Workshop Title : Embroidery
(ii)Course Content: Hands on training on different types of embroidery
(iii)Duration: 3 days (6 hours/day).
(iv) Venue: AIFD, Bangalore.
(v) Proposed schedule: 09 Dec 2024 to 09 Jan 2025 (Consecutive 3 days only)
(vi) Fees for the workshop: Rs 2,500/- participant (including the training materials)
(vii) Strength Expected: 20 – 30 Numbers.
(viii) Transport: Own arrangement
(ix) Remarks. A certificate will be issued at the end of the workshop to all the participants individually.
(b) Workshop 2 –
(i) Practical Workshop Title: Textile Colouration
(ii) Course Content: Textile dyeing & printing such as Tie & Dye, Block printing, Screen printing and batik printing
(iii) Duration: 3 days (6 hours/day).
(iv) Venue: AIFD, Bangalore.
(v) Proposed schedule: 09 Dec 2024 to 09 Jan 2025 (consecutive 3 days only)
(vi) Fees for the workshop: Rs 3,000/- participant.
(vii) Strength Expected: 20 – 30 Numbers.
(viii) Transport : Own arrangement
(ix) Remarks. A certificate will be issued at the end of the workshop to all the participants individually.

9. WELLNESS STUDIO – RSAOI is pleased to inform that the Institute has opened a Wellness Studio. Details as follows: –

(b) Ashtanga Yoga – Wednesday @ 5 PM by Miss. Sneha.
(c) Pilates – Thursday @ 5 PM by Mr Karthikeya.
(d) Hi-Lo – Friday @ 5PM by Mr Pradeep.
(e) Strength – Saturday @ 5PM by Mr Udith.
(f) Sunday & Tuesday – Holiday.

10. ODOMOS AND UMBRELLA:- Members are requested to carry their own Odomos and Umbrella while visiting RSAOI for functions and restaurants, because of Dengue / Malaria/Monsoon season.
