5. ADDENDUM : HOSTING OF FOREIGN NATIONALS :- The latest orders received from HQ K and K Sub Area regarding Hosting of Foreign Nationals is as follows :-
(a) BACKGROUND – The visa granted to foreigners clearly indicates that it is NOT valid for cantonments or Restricted Areas, however, provisions have been made to grant limited permissions by service HQs.
(b) CONCERNS –
(i) Foreigners’ vis India on Tourist Visa and being hosted in Army ests is a cause of concern. It must be appreciated that foreign nationals hosted in Army ests are reqd to be vetted by sister Int agencies.
(ii) Hosting of such foreign nationals in large numbers in events / functions inside cantt / mil premises may result in avoidable security lapses.
(c) DIRNS FROM K AND K SUB AREA :-
(i) Service pers / Retd pers will not host Foreign Nationals, who are not blood relations, inside Army premises / guest rooms / govt married accn.
(ii) Blood relations to incl applicant’s children, applicant’s and applicant’s spouse’s parents, brothers, sisters incl their spouses and children.
(iii) Wedding / Marriage Fns & Events. In case the function / event is for marriage ceremony with would be spouse, who is a foreign national, the clearance will be applicable to would be spouse & his/her blood relations.
(iv) In case of requirement of hosting foreign nationals other than blood relations, the event must be org outside Army ests.
(v) A self-declaration to be deposited stating ‘I will not be hosting any other foreign nationals other than Blood relations or ‘would be spouse’s’ Blood relations to Mess Secy of Army Mess / Institute before the venue is allotted.
(vi) Security clearance format is available with dealing clerk.
6. WHATSAPP GROUP: – RSAOI is planning to create a WhatsApp group to share newsletters, making communication with members more efficient. If the members are not interested, they can exit the group any time.
7. NON-PRODUCTION OF MEMBERSHIP CARDS:- It has been observed with concern that members are not producing their Membership Cards when asked by the security.
8. CAR STICKERS 2025: – Issue of New Car sticker will commence from 10 Apr 2025. Kindly deposit your old stickers. Details as follows: –
(a) Stickers will be issued at RSAOI Reception.
(b) 2 x four-wheeler sticker per Member – Rs 100/- each.
(c) 1 x two-wheeler sticker per Member – Rs 100/- each.
9. CONSTRUCTION: – The construction of the restaurants / Kitchen is in the final stage. Inconvenience regretted.
10. ECM MEMBERS :- Veteran Members from Army, Navy, Airforce and Lady Veteran Offr who wish to be part of the Executive Committee Members (ECM) meeting can forward their names to RSAOI by emailing to info@rsaoibangalore.in or asstsecy@rsaoibangalore.in.
11. SUB COMMITTEE FOR VARIOUS EVENTS / PROJECTS / DESCIPLINE :- For smooth functioning and to maint transparency volunteer Members are required for the following Sub Committees.
(a) Finance – 1 x Veteran Member.
(b) Entertainment – 2 x Veteran Members.
(c) Sports – 2 x Veteran Members.
(d) Arboriculture – 1 x Veteran Member.
(e) Tambola – 1 x Veteran Member.
(f) Cards – 1 x Veteran Member.

12. BEAUTIFICATION OF RSAOI BOUNDARY WALL :-
(a) The RSAOI has undertaken a task to beautify the M G Road footpath. The BBMP and local MLA’s were contacted to keep to help beautify the M G Road footpath along with the RSAOI boundary wall, however there is no response.
(b) The RSAOI, HQ K & K Sub Area and UGLY India an NGO has decided to beautify the footpath to prevent, the public from urinating on the wall of RSAOI which is a health hazard.
(c) The cost of beautifying is beyond RSAOI and the NGO. Presently RSAOI has put poster and security light (56 Nos) and illuminated hoarding depicting the Defence forces.
(d) Contribution towards this cause is on voluntary basis. Details of RSAOI Account as follows :-

13. ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION 2025 – Last date to clear Annual Subscription 2025 was 31 Jan 2025. Penalty of Rs 500 imposed in Feb & Mar 2025 as per RSAOI Rules. The details of Annual Subscription 2025 is as follows:-
(a) Associate Member (below 70 Yrs) – Rs. 10,800/- Yearly.
(b) Serving Mess / Out Stn / Indl Serving – Rs. 10,800/- Yearly.
(c) CGO/ICG – Rs. 10,800/- Yearly.
(d) Senior Associate (Above 70 Yrs) – Rs. 7,200/- Yearly.
(e) Lady Member – Rs. 7,200/- Yearly.
(e) Ex Patron / Ex Chairman – Rs. 7,200/- Yearly.
